Introduction to AJAS
The Asian Journal of African Studies (AJAS) is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal for African studies published at the end of February and August. The current form of the journal was in 2016 re-launched as an academic journal based on articles written in English, obtaining its current name from the former African Affairs, which was established in 1982 and published in both English and Korean languages.
The AJAS is sponsored, edited, and published by the Institute of African Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in South Korea. Opinions, findings, and suggestions expressed in the journal are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the editors or the HUFS.
